THANK YOU VOTERS!

We want to express our heartfelt appreciation to those of you who made it to the polls on April 9, 2013. We note our disappointment with the 80% of Tinley Park voters who did not think it important enough to express their views on how our hometown is run.

Especially to those voters who recognized the need for change, we thank you for your support. We ask you to stay involved. Seek out information from the Village on issues you think important. Go to Board meetings and ask tough questions. Ask why costs and fees are increasing. When you see an empty store front or vacant home, ask why. Just keep asking questions and make your presence known.

We appreciated the many messages we received. So many of your stories were heart breaking. We're sorry that we had to pull down most internet sites shortly after the election. As many of you might have seen, the tone of the messages from the opposition supporters, and even a village employee, immediately before the election were not even civil. Shortly after the election, messaging got to the point of being threatening.

Stay informed, stay involved, and remember that the American Revolution wasn’t won at those first battles of Lexington and Concord.
